I woke up in my hotel room looking out of the window to see raining cats and dogs. I was mentally preparing myself to set off in the rain. But luckily as I went for breakfast it stopped. And it stayed that way the whole day.
Even though most of the route I was biking on the provincial roads going through Plaça de la Vila and Hostalric villages was very rewarding. Gorgeous stone houses and beautiful streets with typical Spanish houses was great to see.
Close to my final stop in Sant Celoni the GPS sent me off road and then further up I reached a small river with the bridge washed away. I was hesitant to go all the way back or cross the river on foot. That was quite exciting. I once had a very traumatic experience of getting stuck in the middle of the river. Nevertheless, I pushed through the river and and a few kilometres further on reached the hotel I am staying at for tonight.
One more night and tomorrow I will be in Barcelona!
